The Bayport Heritage Association was founded in 1983 and continues to be an active organization with over 300 members. Our mission is to preserve Bayport's history by collecting and maintaining historical information on the town and its people and buildings.
Our hard work has restored Meadow Croft, the summer estate of John Ellis Roosevelt, to become an historic museum. Tours are available on Saturdays and Sundays, June through October and upon request.
Monthly meetings, held September through June with featured guest speakers, have been well received.
In addition to the Autumn House Tour, other events offered by Bayport Heritage Association are Christmas at Meadow Croft, a historical boat cruise, a summer concert and yard sale.
New members are always welcomed.
